Ice Rink & Christmas Fair
Held at the Natural History Museum, this is the UK's most popular outdoor ice-skating rink and it is conveniently located within walking distance of the base2stay™ hotel. With the hotel also situated close to Earls Court tube station with its fast transport links, it is an ideal location for a family winter city break.

Winter Wonderland
Open from 10am to 10pm this event is held in Hyde Park with one of the largest ice rinks in London and a 53m giant wheel. There is also a German food market, arts & crafts stalls, singing choirs, indoor & outdoor bars and diners. You can take the children to visit Father Christmas for free, he can be found next to the Hyde Park bandstand, along with his elves, right up until Christmas Eve. The base2stay™ hotel is located nearby and offers flexible accommodation, making for an affordable winter stay in London.

Sail, Power & Watersports Show
Following on from the success of last year's show, this boat show returns to Earls Court for a second year. Hundreds of boats will be on show and whether you want to buy or simply browse, there is something for everyone. There will be a 'Top 100' boats for sale throughout the show, including classic yachts, powerboats, dinghies and superyachts. Advance tickets cost £10.50 and under 16's go free. The base2stay™ hotel is within walking distance of Earls Court and offers affordable luxury and flexible family accommodation.

West End VIP Day (Very Important Pedestrians)
The West End will be entirely dedicated to pedestrians on Saturday 6th December by becoming traffic-free. With VIP treats, live music and celebrity appearances, there is plently of fun to be had whilst doing your Christmas shopping. The West End is easily accessed from the base2stay™ hotel in Kensington by taking the Piccadilly Line from Earls Court tube, changing at Green Park for either Bond Street or Oxford Circus, or carry straight on to Piccadilly Circus.

Bankside Winter Festival
This Winter Festival, otherwise known as Frost Fair, will feature a winter market with 40-50 quality arts and crafts stalls. In celebration of the history of the area and the historic fairs that took place on a frozen River Thames, this winter market opens with a Frost Fair-themed lantern parade on Friday 12 December at 4:30pm. Other activities include guided walks and a boat race. The nearest tube station is Mansion House, found on the District & Circle Line direct from Earls Court tube or Gloucester Road tube, both of which are under five minutes walk from the base2stay™ hotel in Kensington.
