"Free internet through televison"
Great little hotel on a quiet street short walk to museums. There was a free internet service through television-set. It worked great!
Mini kitchen looked great: microwave, water boiler, fair trade tea bags, salad bowl, forks, knives, wine glasses... Loved it!

"Great find!"
I stayed at Base2Stay for 2 days in April. I was traveling alone to visit universities in London, and wanted to stay somewhere clean, safe, and with convenient access to the tube. Base2Stay met all these conditions and exceeded my expectations.
The room was compact but well laid out, with a single bed, desk, flat screen TV mounted on the wall, built-in kitchenette and closet, and a fairly large bathroom with a great shower. Everything was clean and new. The decoration was tasteful and modern. It also had internet through the TV for free, which allowed me to check and write emails and browse the Internet. For convenience I ordered the breakfast box and got a ton of food--cereal and milk, orange juice, nutrigrain bar, muffin/cookie.
The hotel is about a 5 minute walk to Gloucester Road tube station, but also convenient to the Kensington area--the V&A and Natural History museums are about a 15 minute walk. Nearby tubes are on the District and Circle lines, with easy access to Paddington station for the Heathrow Express.
Overall I thought this was a particularly good hotel for the price. I've stayed in hotels in this price range in London before and found them to be a bit older and more dingy, so this as a great find.

"Loved it! Very impressed"
Just back from a wonderful stay at Base2stay. Check-in was supposed to be from 3pm but when we arrived about noon Manuel on reception said he could have them ready by 1pm. We were in no rush so went off for some lunch, leaving our luggage. The room was a good size and extremely comfortable. We had a bathroom with bath and a strong shower, and the kitchenette was very handy for when you just need a proper cup of tea. Over three days I was at a loss to work out where exactly they've cut back on services to cut back on prices. The room was serviced everyday and the staff were brilliant. The location is wonderful: about two minutes from Earl's Court tube station (which is wheelchair accessible), on the Piccadilly line - brilliant for both Leicester Square and Heathrow. The hotel is a stone's throw from Earl's Court Road with its vast selection of eateries. A wonderful find, will most certainly be returning.

"Fantastic"
Absolutely loved this hotel, situated in a good location for London attractions as it was near the tube station. Hotel was good value and had luxurious but comfortable room for great value especially for London.

"Great value"
Clean, very comfortable bed and room. Courteous and helpful staff. Incredible location. Great value, especially because London is so expensive! Great to have the mini-kitchen, too.

"Great place to stay"
Base2Stay is a great budget hotel find in a city of quite expensive hotels. I felt very comfortable in the neighborhood, which was essential for a female traveling alone. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others and stay here again.

"Practically perfect in every way"
I chose the hotel largely based upon reviews from TripAdvisor.com. I searched online for literally hours to make sure I found the best hotel for the best price. And this hotel was everything I had hoped for, and more.
My standard for a great hotel is simply that I like to find the cleanest, classiest hotel for the cheapest price. Comfort is supreme. Décor is also very important to me. I can't stand old or shabby decorations in a room. Location is important to a point, just so it is in a safe place.
This hotel is perfect in every way! The décor is modern, new and classy. The bed and linens were comfortable, the pillows firm. I loved the light dimmer, so I could adjust the brightness of the room as I liked.
I stayed in room L18, a single room. It was small, yes, but it didn't need to be huge, since I was traveling by myself. The bathroom was clean, and quite spacious. The towels were thick, and there was a heated towel rack. The water pressure was fabulous.
I loved the mini-kitchen. I purchased nearly all of my meals from "Marks & Spencer Simply Food" which is very nearby. Also I shopped at two or three other nearby grocery stores, but the M&S had the best ready-made meals.
The free internet was useful, as I was able to email home when I arrived. I signed up for the paid internet service so I could use my own laptop. 7.95 for 24 hours is reasonable, and the service was great. I was able to upload my large batch of trip pictures to my web albums very easily.
Staff were friendly, and helpful. They weren't gushy, but if I wanted gushy I would have stayed in a B&B. I prefer to keep to myself, but be treated with respect and courtesy, which I was.
Basically, it was practically perfect in every way. I would highly recommend this hotel to any of my friends visiting London. Kudos to the management and staff of this excellent hotel!

"Excellent location and fantastic price"
My fiance and I stayed at this modern, stylish hotel twice last year (we actually got the exact same room on the second stay and was still in excellent condition). It is an excellent base to explore London, 5 mins walk from from the Underground. Are planning on staying again this summer.
Prices appear to have increased slightly from the £80 for the double room we paid last year but for the quality of accommodation on offer I still think this represents excellent value. We have stayed at 5 star hotels such as the Radisson Edwardian, new Hilton Canary Wharf, etc. and I would still prefer to stay at this hotel for the quality of accommodation and value for money.
Plenty of nearby Starbucks etc. to have breakfast if you want an amternative from the breakfast box (subject to additional charge). The mini kitchen is an excellent idea - very useful to store drinks, etc. and the takeaway option is very good - I used this on my first stay.
The Aqua Lisa showers were particularly amazing - my fiance is demanding we install one in our new bathroom!
Staff were very friendly and helpful too and always available to help.

"A great hotel"
I reviewed hotels and found this hotel to have the best reviews. They were helpful in the booking and gave us a quiet room over looking the gardens. It is only a couple blocks from Earl's Court tube and some good resturants in the area. Our room was always clean and loved the shower and being able to have some snacks since it has a fridge, microwave, sink glasses etc.
They helped us confirm our reservations home and printed it all out. I would get an Oyster card for the tube as it was a big saver.
This hotel is outstanding and modern and a good price for London.

'A-Plus'
"My two teenage children and I stayed six nights at base2stay in early March. We had a superior room (base2stay's classification) with a queen bed and an easy chair that was folded out into a single bed. We found the beds very comfortable to sleep in, even the fold-out one. Our room was quiet and clean. It was in the back, just above a lovely patio. The weather was cold and windy during our stay, but the room heater worked well - the temperature quickly adjusted to whatever we set the control to. Our spacious bathroom was superior, too, with a window and a huge ledge in front of the sink, a tub/shower combination, and a heated towel rack. The towels were plentiful and huge.
The keyboard for the internet took some getting used to, but my son was soon using it every night to surf the net and e-mail friends while lounging on the bed.
The front desk staff was professional and helpful. The morning we first arrived (after a seventeen-hour trip) we inquired about storing our luggage at the front desk until about 5 pm, after some sightseeing, but we were pleasantly surprised to find that our room was already all prepared for us, hours before the official check-in time.
The cleaning staff was quiet and efficient, too.
London is an expensive city, but base2stay's rates for a three-person room were in line with the other hotels I looked at. Our stay at base2stay was head and shoulders a nicer experience than the other London tourist hotels I have stayed in."

'hi tech comfort'
"perfect hi tech base to stay (as per hotel name). Small, cozy hotel in great location with great staff and the latest in hi tech room and bath furnishings. All spotlessly clean and state of the art. Would recommend a double room even for singles, as more spacious. Highly recommended - I will definitely stay again."

'Best Value in London'
"Just returned to the States from spring break in London. A friend and I took our 3rd grade sons while our husbands stayed home. We stayed at base2stay, and it was a phenomenal experience. We searched high and low for a nice "budget" type hotel, and while this would not be classified as "budget" in the United States, it was definitely on the lower end of prices in the UK. We paid 119 pounds, or approximately $240 per night. This includes VAT. Each mother/son had their own room - we opted for the rooms with two single beds, which we pushed together to form a king in each room. We were there for 5 days, and everything from 2 suitcases fit nicely into the armoire they provide. The bathrooms are nicely appointed. The bathrooms are quite chilly due to the draft from the large windows, but they provide towel warmers to alleviate some of the cold you feel when stepping out of the shower. The kitchenette had everything we needed - a microwave for warming breakfast, an "instant hot" pot for boiling water for tea bags or instant coffee, which are provided, and a small refrigerator to keep your milk, wine, etc. The hotel is in an excellent location. We were able to get to most sites staying on the same tube line as Earls Court, which is less than a 5 minute walk away. There is a market right around the corner called "Simply Foods" if you choose to purchase some food for your room. We ate at two great restaurants in the neighborhood which the hotel provided 20% off coupons for - Wagamama, which is a great little Japanese restaurant that our boys loved, and Strada, which is a little bit nicer Italian restaurant, that we all enjoyed. The free internet service on the large-screen TV in the room is a HUGE bonus - I've never seen this in a hotel. The boys played video games and watched a movie as well. The movie cost $6. My son fell asleep in the middle of watching a movie, and when I inquired about the ability to pause the movie and restart it the next night, the hotel said the TV couldn't do that, but they told me to go ahead and watch it again and they would only charge me once. These were the little extras that will make me come back!!!"

'Good Value, Super Location'
"My daughter and I were in London for 4 nights. It was my first trip to London, and I researched quite a few hotels, before choosing Base2Stay. We had a room at the back on the 3rd floor. The window didn't have a view of anything interesting, but it suited my needs as it was extremely quiet. The bathroom was not large, but there was plenty of room for cosmetics on the shelf over the sink. The shower was an on/off power shower. The bed was comfortable, too.
It was nice to have the refrigerator and tea making facilities in the room.
The location can't be beaten. The hotel is a 5 minute walk from the Earls Court Underground station. The Piccadilly line is most convenient, as I came in on the Eurostar from Brussels and my daughter flew into Heathrow from Dublin. No changes for either of us. The people at the front desk were very helpful and our room was always clean when we returned. The maid washed our tea/coffee cups and had them ready for us. We will be returning later this year, and this will be our choice of hotel."

'Great value'
"A great value in a very expensive city. A short walk to the Earls Court Station so getting around was easy. We also made use of the daily fitness center membership at a very nice club about a five minute walk away."

Gorgeous hotel and great price!
"The hotel is only about 2 blocks from the Earls Court station. The location is in one of the nicest and most affluent neighborhoods in London! The hotel is thoroughly modern from top to bottom. The room was one of the largest and most comfortable I have found in London for the money. All rooms have flat screen TVs and with integrated internet at no extra charge. The staff was excellent...I will definitely stay here again!"

'Wonderful staff at base2stay'
"When the airline lost my luggage for two days, the staff at base2stay was so compassionate and helpful--calling the airline for me and generally being helpful. For that reason alone, this is my new favorite place to stay in London. Room was small but comfortable, everything is new, and the bathroom was huge by London standards. Don't stay anywhere else!"

'New Year's Eve Trip'
"My boyfriend and I travelled to London for New Year's Eve. We started planning the trip last May so made several hotel changes over the course of eight months based on reviews and openings. We were thrilled that this one became available at the last minute (based on reviews) because it was perfect. For a "reasonable" London price you get a clean and modern looking hotel. It was very spacious and came complete with a kitchenette… perfect for having a cup of coffee to warm you up before you go outside. The staff was great and even though our room was on ground level it was by no means a spoiler (the staff did offer to move us if it was a problem). The room had a flat screen TV with internet access which was perfect for checking your email if you were meeting up with friends. The Hotel itself was perfectly located a few blocks away from the Earl Court tube stop which made is easy to navigate the entire city. Overall it was a perfect hotel and I would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting London..."

'Funky and friendly place in the heart of London'
"I've just came back from my trip to London and I stayed in a place I can recommend to anyone looking for a modestly priced (by London standards) and smart place. Located in the quiet backstreets of Earl's Court it's a perfect starting point for any trip, be it the museums (literarly round the corner), West End or Tower Hill.
Every room is equiped with a small kitchenette anex and the area is full of little take aways, pubs and restaurants so the fact that the hotel does not serve food is hardly noticeable. Apart from that the house keeping is superb, rooms are serviced and clean all the time.
The counter staff at the reception was great, very competent, helpful and at ease making you feel welcome and a bit like home. There is somebody in the house at all times so you know that whatever problem you encounter there will be someone friendly to help you solving it.
A great place for a weekend break or even longer get away, a strong new point on my travel map!"

base2stay...4ever!!!
"Having stayed in London hotels of all types over many years, from basic B&B's to 5-star deluxe, all I can say is that base2stay deserves top marks by anybody's standards. From its friendly, welcoming and helpful staff to its stylishly furnished rooms, fully equipped with everything a traveller could possibly need (flat screen t.v. with 20 channels & 30 movies; microwave - such a godsend when you consider how expensive eating out in London is! - fridge, power shower, etc.), staying at base2stay is a wonderful and relaxing experience. Some reviewers have commented on the smallness of the single rooms; however, I found my room to be perfectly adequate space-wise, because it was so well -designed. base2stay will definitely be my London "base" from now on - 4ever!!"

'excellent accommodation'
"I was extremely impressed by this hotel and booked due to price and overall great reviews on this site.
The size of the room was very adequate for a single person, very clean, modern design and furnishings, crisp white bed linens and shower was spacious with great water pressure. It was fantastic to have the flat screen TV with access to internet and music. My room was on the second floor and was always quiet. The staff were very responsive and courteous. The common areas were always very clean and quiet. Excellent location to Earl's Court tube station, with access to both District and Piccadilly lines.
I would highly recommend this hotel!! I made sure to let my friends in London know about it so they can recommend to future guests. I would absolutely stay here again."

'Very Nice Experience'
"We went to London for the Led Zeppelin reunion concert and needed a not so expensive room but one that was worthy of a last minute London vacation experience. The Base2Stay was more than we could have asked for. Much like most in London, the rooms were somewhat small but they are so well arranged that you have plenty of room without feeling cramped. This hotel is very clean, well maintained and looks newly remodeled. The staff was very prompt, courteous and friendly. It is an ideal location just a short 5 minute walk from the Earls Court tube. Around the corner is an awesome pub called the 'Blackbird'. I would highly recommend the Base2Stay for any London travellers. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay with them and would stay there again."

Perfect!
"We have just returned from a two night stay at base2Stay Kensington, and have nothing but praise for this excellent hotel. We were given a friendly welcome by the reception staff and our twin bedded room was clean, stylish, well equipped and comfortable. All rooms have a compact kitchenette with sink, fridge, kettle and microwave; we found this to be a really useful addition. The hotel is in a quiet and smart residential location, only a short stroll from Earl's Court underground station. We will return, and can thoroughly recommend this hotel."

'Fantastic Hotel'
"I have (finally) found a great hotel in London. base2stay is stylish, immaculate, with great showers, great sheets, comfortable rooms and fully equipped in-room work stations (including free internet), for a reasonable price - singles from GB89. I also loved the Keiji products in the bathrooms - yum. The place has been very thoughtfully designed including enough room under the bed to tuck your suitcase and mini kitchenettes in all rooms including kettle, microwave, fridge and some nice wine glasses, plates etc. and cutlery."
The location also makes this a great hotel: it's set in a nice area in Kensington (Courtfield Gardens), a short walk from either the Earl's Court or Gloucester Road tube stations which brings in District, Circle, and the Piccadilly lines. This means a straight shot from Heathrow on the tube for GB4, or a reasonably fast connection to Victoria Station for the Gatwick Express.
It's a terrific hotel on many levels and I look forward to staying there on subsequent trips to London.

Perfect!
"Arrived at hotel to find we had been upgraded from a standard double to a king superior with a small private patio area, so It was a good start to our stay! The room was amazing, had everything we needed (plus some more .. ) the small kitchen area is a really good idea and makes the hotel stand out from others we have stayed in before. I am surprised how cheap this hotel is considering the standard and location. (Close to two different tube stations and bus routes) Would definitely stay here again and I highly recommend it !!"

'Best value hotel'
"This hotel is almost perfect. Modern, bright, clean and QUIET! The staff are very helpful, and the location is very convenient. I would not stay anywhere else in London (unless I won the lottery!)"

'Excellent'
"Located a 5 minute walk from Gloucester Road tube, close to supermarkets in Cromwell Road and a 10 minute walk from the Natural History Museum. Clean, modern appearance, comfortable bed, plenty of hanging space, good hairdryer, large plasma TV. Modern bathroom with decent toiletries and power shower. Room had a "kitchen" cupboard with sink, fridge and microwave. Much better than a Travelodge at £90 for a single room."

'Loved my stay here'
"I can't say enough good things about base2stay. It was cool, clean, comfortable and quiet. I hated to leave!
It wasn't huge but rooms in London rarely are. I booked a superior double (99 pounds a night). I was at the end of the hall on the first floor (second floor to Americans). The view was a bit restricted but that wasn't a problem.
Things I liked: the shower (lots of pressure, lots of hot water and the temperature never wavered); the heated towel rack; big bathroom; comfortable bed; free internet; generous closet space; and the mini kitchen.
The mini kitchen (refrigerator, microwave, sink, electric kettle, dishes, silverware and cutlery) was great. Not only did it have plates, cups and silverware, there was even a salad bowl and a big chefs knife. Make a stop at M&S or Sainsbury's and you could heat and serve a decent meal in your room.
Staff was friendly and helpful. The vending machine down the hall was reasonably priced. And Earl's Court Road, just a few minutes walk away, has tons of shops, restaurants, pubs and grocery stores. This is a terrific neighborhood.
I stayed here three days and then, for a splurge, moved to a more posh hotel in Soho that cost alot more money. It was nice, a little bigger room and had a bathrobe. But, I felt that base2stay was the better hotel. I'd return here anytime. Can't recommend it highly enough. Thanks for a great stay!"

Love it!
"I just came back from London and had great 4 nights there (Nov 19th-23th) at Base 2 stay. It was excellent. Location is only 5 mins walking from Earl's Court tube. I booked standard double 99 pounds/night and had everything like published..nice double bed, clean bathroom, microwave, plates, glasses, fridge, TV+Internet flat screen...all i expected. Great value and strongly recommended!"

'My Best Stay in London'
"I travel to London at least twice a year and I was there recently between 11-15 November and as always for the last two years stayed at the Base 2 Stay Hotel in Earls Court (Kensington). I really love the attention, cleaness, location and quality of this hotel. It is by much far better than most of the 4* hotels (converted from old houses) in London, believe me I have tried most of them. It's extremely clean, definitely not showing any sign of age. Everywhere is neat and tidy. The toilets are awesome. All the rooms have a small kitchenette, LCD Telly, free internet, refrigirator. Basically an excellent package. All the staff are extra attentive. I will suggest anyone going to London to stay in this hotel without a doubt. It's worth the money to the last penny."

'Fantastic London Hotel'
"Stayed here for 3 days during November 2007 in a Standard room. We can only say great things about this place. Nice location, very neat and clean room and nice staff. Having a small kitchenette and microwave made eating in a doddle as there are a number of local supermarkets. Fantastic value for money for central London."

'Fabulous Restful Stay'
"Stayed for 2 nights while touring Europe with my mother in late September. Arrived after 9pm and it was so nice to see a happy, smiling face after getting snarled at by the French at the Eurostar station in Paris when we missed our train!!! Front desk staff was amazing, got us right into our room and brought us any additional items that we asked for the entire time we stayed with them.
Tube station a quick 5 minute 2/3 block walk, bakery and coffee shops right down the street if you don't get the breakfast in the box they offer (looked excellent but didn't have the time to partake). Reception was always quick to recommend a great place to go see or eat at, and there is a list of base2stay 'providers' on you TV where you can get discounts if you tell them you are staying at the hotel.
Hairdryer provided by hotel was excellent - no wimpy wall attached ones here. Plenty of vanity space in bathroom for 2 people, desk with TV/Web browser, small wardrobe with drawers and hanging space, in room fridge-bar-kitchette type set up (wonderful)!
Kudos to base2stay, would love to come back when we visit in February!"

'Great value'
"I just returned from a five day stay at base2stay and was very pleased. The staff was always friendly, helpful and efficient. The location was very convenient to lots of restaurants, food shops and the underground. I loved that I could get on the Piccadilly line at Heathrow and 40 minutes later I was 2 blocks from the hotel. As a single woman, I always felt perfectly safe in the neighborhood.
While the room was small, I didn't find it much smaller then some other places I have stayed in London and NYC. Because the decor and furnishings were contemporary and streamlined, it didn't feel crowded. My suitcase slid right under the bed. The flat screen tv had great reception and a nice variety of options. I was pleasantly surprised with the spacious bathroom that was very clean and had great water pressure.
For the price, I think this hotel was excellent. I find that I spend minimum time in my room when I am in London, but it was nice to come "home" at the end of each day. I will definitely stay here on my next visit."

'Wonderful stay'
"My husband and I stayed 6 nights in September, at this lovely hotel after finding it through Tripadvisor. Our room was very spacious, with a king size bed, large bathroom and very handy kitchenette. We loved the free internet which was used through the big screen TV. The room was very clean, and the decor of neutral tones was welcoming and relaxing. The staff at this hotel were always friendly and helpful, we were always greeted with a smile by all staff members. I would like to make special mention of Nyasha who set up msn for me, organised a car to take us to Waterloo Station and offered excellent shopping tips, she was terrific. The hotel is located in a quiet street within easy walking distance to Earls Court Station and shops. We loved this hotel, it was everything we had hoped for and would highly recommend it to anyone wishing to stay in that area when visiting London."

'Terrific Hotel'
"I loved this hotel. It was like having a little studio apartment that someone cleaned every day. I would stay here again. The neighborhood and location are great, safe, and close to lots of shops and the subway station. The staff is friendly. My room was lovely and immaculate. The shower was wonderful and powerful air-conditioning kept me cool."

"Well designed and comfortable"
base2Stay was every thing I thought it would be after checking their website and reading about it in a magazine. The rooms are compact but very well designed. The bed was huge and very comfortable. The mini-kitchette is well hidden in a closet but there when you needed it. The TV with internet browsing was excellent for getting the latest info on the tube strike which hit London just after we'd arrived. The breakfast pack contained plenty of food for the price and kickstarted my day before heading to Heathrow. Staff were very informative and courteous. Thumbs up for this new hotel!

"What a find!! Stay here if you can!"
My mom (60) and I (26) stayed at base2stay for the last 4 nights of our 5-week trip to Europe, and we definitely saved the best for last!! I cannot say enough about this hotel. It is well-situated one block from the Earl's Court tube station in South Kensington. The room was simply fantastic. We stayed in a room with bunk beds, but it was still very comfortable, and we loved the bathroom - very spacious with big, comfy towels and plenty of counter space. There is a big flat screen tv in the room, and the air conditioning is honestly one of the best I've ever used. The staff was very helpful with recommending day trips. There is no breakfast at the hotel, but for cheap and delicious coffee and pastries, try Bakers Oven just across the street from the Earl's Court tube station.

"Outstanding hotel"
I stayed in one of the single rooms here for 5 days and found it to be an absolutely outstanding hotel. In general, I felt like I was in a high-end boutique hotel, which I guess it is, just without the high-end price. The design throughout the place is very clean and modern, with high-end fixtures in the bathroom and a flat-panel television on the wall.
The location is excellent - it's a very short walk to the Earl's Court Tube station and good restaurants on Earl's Court Road, and not very far to Kensington Gardens, museums, and lots of other stuff. At the same time, it's very quiet; I very rarely heard any noise from adjacent or upstairs rooms, and the tucked-away location means that there is no street noise at all.
The staff were very helpful, offering restaurant recommendations along with discount coupons for several nearby places. They were also nice enough to let me check out late on the day that I left.

"The Best"
Ultra modern, smart hotel. All of the amenities you want like a kitchenette and internet access through the tv. The hotel is a good value and you can save even more by taking advantage of the kitchenette and saving on food. The furnishings are new and the room was very clean.
LOVED IT!

"Peaceful & Charming"
I had a wonderful 6 night stay at this hotel. It is a very easy 5 minute walk from Earl's Court station in a safe neighborhood. It's in a great location for seeing the London sights and is within 5 tube stops to all the major sightseeing areas.
The front desk and housekeeping staff were very helpful and friendly, and did their best to answer any questions I had. The bed was the most comfortable I've used when traveling and had great pillows...I slept so well everynight! The power shower was perfect and they provided lovely aromatherapy toiletries. The free internet via the TV was very useful for checking my e-mail and browsing the web.
There are many restaurants and fastfood establishments close to the hotel, as well as places to pick up groceries. There's also a bank with ATMs and a post office right outside EC tube station.
I highly recommend this hotel to any traveler and will definitely stay there again if I'm in London.

My daughter and I stayed at Base2Stay for 13 nights in June/July 2007.
We booked a bunk room, and it was perfect for our needs. Our room was L2, which had a delightful little patio, we loved opening the door to fresh air after a long day of tourist activities. The kitchenette was just right, we kept fruit and yogurt in the fridge for breakfasts, along with bottles of water, and used the microwave to warm soup or pasta at dinner time.
The location is so convenient to the tube station, as well as a grocery store, laundromat, post office, and several restaurants. The staff were friendly and always promptly helpful if we had a need, they showed us how to use the free internet (what a wonderful asset) and the safe. When the tv didn't work one afternoon a knowledgeable staff person was at our door in minutes and fixed the problem.
The housekeeping service was excellent and our room and bathroom was spotlessly cleaned daily. We always felt safe and comfortable while in our room, and would not hesitate to stay at Base2Stay again.
Thank you for your contribution to making my first trip to London such a pleasure.

"Great Stay @ base2stay"
Recently spent 3 very comfortable nights at base2stay.
The service was excellent and friendly, rooms (we stayed in 2 different ones - for those that are interested we particularly liked rm L3) were spotless, beds were exceptionally comfortable and the bonus of having a mini kitchenette was very handy.
Also, I really appreciated the fact that there was a decent hairdryer provided!
All this was especially pleasing given the price. I would add however, that the only discernable difference we found between our £119 and £99 rooms was the size of the bed (king or double respectively). In fact, we prefered our £99 room. So if you're not looking for a huge bed, save your money.

"Convenient area"
I booked them directly from their website. Pretty easy to find, about
5 mins walk from Earl's Court stn. Convenient area with lots of fastfood, pubs and a M&S grocery store nearby.
I booked a single room, and it was clean and a decent size, the bathroom was actually quite big, and was clean and had a nice shower.
There was a microwave and kettle, so if you want to buy instant meals from M&S instead of eating out every night, it is possible.

"Spot on - better than expected"
Location - good class of area, Earls Court Tube 2 mins walk, supermarkets 5 mins walk, museums 15 mins walk, Kensington Palace end of Hyde Park/Kensington High Street 25 mins walk Room - spotless, bright, modern, comfy bed, good tv, very handy kitchenette (microwave/fridge/all utensils/crockery etc). Standard double is quite small/cosy, but more than adequate.
Staff/check in process? - no probs at all, quick, efficient/friendly Value for money - spot on, better than expected
Recommend?- Definitely, It's exactly what it says on the tin - a base2stay (but with a cherry on top). Give it a whirl.

"Stylish, handy and great value for money"
This hotel is a great find. Having stayed in many a grubby sub-standard hotel in London I cant praise Base2stay enough.
Firstly, it's easy to get to on foot from Earl's Court tube station and on a nice leafy quiet street. Smart on the outside and on the inside, the hotel feels new - everything is immaculate.
Check-in was efficient - the desk staff welcoming and friendly. I even had my room upgraded. I was a little surprised though to have to swipe my credit details on arrival even tho i had paid in full in advance but was told this was company policy in advance of any services i might use and would be voided at the end of my stay if no services were charged.
The communal spaces of the hotel are uncluttered and clean. Stylish and modern with attention to detail.
The room was great. Clean and spacious. Everything in calming colours (mushroom, cream, white). The kitchenette was very useful fully equipped with microwave, kettle, cutlery, plates, glasses etc. plenty of wardrobe space and a safe.
The bathroom was spotless and very modern with a large powerful shower.
A large plasma screen was linked to a range of digital facilities.
The bed was very comfortable.
With no restaurant or bar, the hotel equips each room with an extensive directory of local bars and eateries - addresses and phone numbers supplied. This was useful but, with the fantastic Wagamamas nearby, in my case it was largely redundant.
On the whole i'd definitely recommend this hotel to friends. Stylish, handy and great value for money.

"Really enjoyed it"
I stayed for 3 nights at this hotel and really enjoyed it. While the single room was a bit small, the modern bathroom and free internet access more than made up for the small size.
The air conditioning was a pleasant surprise and the kitchenette was great for keeping water and other food items cool. Close to Earls Court tube station and grocery stores. The staff was extremely friendly and my room was ready for me even though I arrived two hours before check-in.
Would stay again.

"Crisp and clean"
I stayed in base2stay with my boyfriend who was on a business trip.
Booked this hotel at short notice, was really pleased with our stay there.
The place is great, and would recommend to anyone looking for a 4* property in London. I find the staff helpful, eager to help and very friendly, starting from check in (we arrived late at night and received suprisingly efficient and proffesional service, the night manager made us feel very welcome and important).
Our room was lovely - it was crisp and clean, and I cannot think of one thing that I can call a negative.
The bedding was beautiful, the bathroom was spotlessly clean and extremely well appointed, there was a LCD TV with movies, and even free internet access! The toiletries in the bathroom were pleasant.
It was also a great location. There is a shopping area just along the road, with Mark and Spencer Food, and several other shops to buy something to eat, as well as plenty of eateries and bars - The receptionist gave a list of those they recommended, a very impressive service for a London hotel!
Well managed and in touch, we will definitely be going back!!!"
5* all round!

"Great hotel - ideal location"
Wanted to book a nice hotel in London but not to expensive. Found this little Gem. It was by far the cleanest hotel we stayed at on our 2 week honeymoon through France and Italy and the UK. We arrived at the hotel at 11:30am after our overnight flight from LA and they gave us our room early which was awesome. Loved to BIG flat screen tv with Internet on it. The front desk people were awesome the really want to make your stay at this hotel enjoyable. The hotel is right near the Earls Court station which seems to be one of the main stations for the metro. London is a very easy city to get around in with the metro.

"Sophisticated and reasonable"
This is a small sleek hotel in an older building that has been remodeled in a sophisticated fashion. Elevators, flat screen tv's, air conditioning, wireless internet available for a charge, very helpful at the desk. No dining but easy access to coffee shops, grocery store, and tube station (about 2 blocks). Our double room was small with tiny kitchenette, spacious bathroom. Next time, we will pay more and get a larger room. Everything's expensive in England for Americans, but this hotel was a good value. We will stay here again.

"Good Value. Nice Location."
I stayed here for a week in mid-Feb of '07 The weather was very cold and it snowed the 1st night there. The single room stayed comfortably warm throughout my stay. The candid pix of the single room are accurate. It's like a very clean but small ships cabin. I liked and used the mini kitchen with a microwave, mini-fridge, electric kettle, plates, glasses and utensils.
Located on a fairly quiet street only a short walk from the Earls Court Tube station. Plenty of good places to eat in the area plus a couple of small grocery stores.

"Quality"
We booked to stay at the very last minute. As it was our anniversary, I wanted to do something special. The hotel were good enough to source some lovely flowers and write me out (in lovely gold pen) a quality card. The service at recpeption, and in general, was really personal, professional and friendly. The staff were able to get us a 20% discount at a qaulity Italian restaurant around the corner. They were geniunely interested in our our day and how we found the room etc. In the morning there was some confusion of wether we had ordered breakfast or not. Instead of allowing it to become a problem the staff member simply resolved the problem. They even allowed us to have the room until 12pm. The room itself was really well furnished, spacious, with a little patio outside. Overall the service and room provided by BASE2STAY was QUALITY. :)

"A memorable stay"
We booked a weekend break in early May and had the most wonderful time at the hotel. The room was large and spacious and the small kitchen was great for preparing pancakes at breakfast. The staff were helpful and courteous and even allowed my partner to use their computer to check the flights home. This is a stylish hotel, conveniently located.
We had an amazing weekend and would recommend it to anyone wishing to stay in London!

"Comfortable and friendly"
My husband and I recently spent 4 nights at Base2Stay. We arrived from Australia early in the morning and caught the Underground to Earl's Court Station. From there it was a short easy walk to the hotel.
Although we had arrived well before check-in time, the friendly young staff were very accommodating and had a room ready for us in half an hour which meant we were able to drop off our luggage and head out for the day.
Our room was clean, modern, well furnished and the highlight was the large flat screen TV with free internet access. As the hotel is a couple of blocks back from the main street it is quiet.
Base2Stay is well appointed in that it is close to the station and also Gloucester Road where you can catch the hop on hop off red double decker bus which travels to the important sites. The hotel staff were able to give us a map and times of the buses.
Although breakfast isn't part of the cost there is a lovely little bakery in the main street and at least two mini supermarkets where we were able to buy relativley cheap supplies.
Our time at this hotel was very pleasant and we would certainly stay there again should we return to London. Highly recommended - no need to look further!

"Exceeded our Expectations"
We spent 2 nights here after disembarking from a transatlantic cruise.
The pictures and descriptions offered on line are all accurate. The staff was friendly, extremely helpful and the rooms were ready. I liked the free flat-screen computer in the room. There were several grocery stores and fast food (pizza and a Subway) in the neighborhood within a 5 minute walk which made it so convenient. I would definitely stay here again.

A friend suggested your wonderful hotel based on a newspaper review. We stayed with you last month and were very impressed. Monika and the rest of the staff took excellent care of us. I only wish I'd gotten the name of the other young woman employee who gave directions to our very incompetent cabbie on the evening of March 19. She stood in the cold (and snow) to explain to him how to get us to the Gielgud Theatre. He was completely clueless. I hope to visit base2stay again soon.

Congratulations on the standard of the service at your hotel, and the quality of the accommodation. I stayed at your Hotel for my first time yesterday. I have never before found Hotel staff in London so charming and helpful. The quality and cleanliness of your accommodation is of a standard that few hotels achieve. DF, 13 April 2007
Everything is a 10! We requested connecting rooms and the staff made arrangements to put our children's room next to ours. Very good. Our refrigerator broke and someone came to check it immediately (though it wasn't necessary as we used the fridge in our sons' room). And we asked lots of touristy questions, like where the Underground was and how do we get an Oyster card. You were all very helpful and friendly. Thanks much for an enjoyable stay.

We picked base2stay from the positive ratings and reviews on TripAdvisor.com. However, as impressive as those were, what convinced me to stay with you were the thoughtful and courteous responses by the management. Your attention to the concerns of your patrons and the care you have taken to explain "your side of the story" indicate to me that you take your reputation and the quality of your service very seriously. We are glad to have discovered you!

I and two of my colleagues recently stayed in 3 rooms at base2stay and it was just great. We work for a non-profit museum with a very small budget and you really fit the bill. Your establishment was very comfortable, has the best shower and internet in the rooms - so you got high marks from us.

I stayed at your excellent hotel as part of a group booking. We all enjoyed it immensly, and we are recomending people to stay there.I hope to be able to come back and enjoy your good beds, showers, atmosphere and service again sometime.

My friend and I recently stayed in your Kensington location. We were in the UK for pleasure. For me, it was my 2nd time in your country. I just wanted to let you know that we were very pleased with our room and your services. The room was clean, the amenities were excellent, and your staff was very helpful and courteous. The location was excellent. We used the underground often and your proximity to Earls Court station was very convenient. Also, your proximity to so many restaurants made it easy for us to find good places to have dinner upon our return from long days of sightseeing. I rarely compliment hotels (I have occasion to travel with my job in the States), but I was very pleased with your facility and thought I would let you know. Should I have reason to visit London again, I will most likely again stay at base2stay. I will also recommend you to my friends and associates.

I wanted to let you know that one of our top agents stayed with you this past weekend in London. She is raving about your property, the concept, and location. Traveling to, and having experienced the greatest hotels in the world, she was so pleased by her time spent at Base 2 Stay. She stated that the service was certainly not that of a budget hotel, and was wow'd by the personal touches and execution that is typical of a 5 star.

We would really like to thank you for our great accommodations. Our room was bright and sunny, the bed, linens and pillows were also quite comfortable. We have been searching for affordable rates and great accommodations for such a long time - it was nice when the hotel's description finally lived up to its word.

We stayed in your hotel during the summer and had a really lovely time. Your bathroom products were really nice and would appreciate knowing where you bought them (even if they are specially produced).

Base2stay's entire staff deserves commendation for their unrelenting efforts and commitment to customers. I was in London on business and to visit my partner. Business kept us longer than anticipated in your wonderful city and we had to check out of another establishment and find another place on very short notice. Your marvelous staff anticipated our anxiety about finding a place to stay on such short notice and was diligent in finding us a room. They also know that their best critics are not the newspaper travel reviewers, but their customers. Thank you for building such a strong team of customer-oriented employees. Again, we want to extend our wishes for your continued success. We will definitely recommend your wonderful hotel to our friends and colleagues.

I wanted you to know that we enjoyed our stay at your hotel very much. We checked in during the month of July and had 3 rooms. The accomodations were excellent and the staff were very professional. My wife and I both work in a large hotel/casino and we tend to be somewhat critical of where we stay.
